About
The Medicines Supply Resilience Group (MSRG) is a dedicated forum for stakeholders involved in all aspects of the medicines supply chain.
The MSRG facilitates the development and adoption of recommendations to enhance the security, resilience, and sustainability of medicines supply to patients, by supporting the UK to become more attractive in a global market.
Objectives
The aims of the MSRG are as follows:
- Enhancing supply chain efficiency, security and resilience.
- Enabling patient care by ensuring stable and timely patient access to medicines.
- Supporting the delivery of NHS and Government Net Zero targets.
- Making recommendations to harness and integrate emerging technology.
Sponsorship (Corporate members)
The MSRG is funded by its corporate members through various corporate membership and sponsorship agreements. The Group is currently funded by AbbVie, Accord and Viatris. Corporate members benefit from attending bi-monthly meetings, the opportunity to input into workplans and raise topics of importance throughout the year.
Any materials created on behalf of the MSRG will be created by the CCA. The CCA will be responsible for their contents.
Membership
Members of MRSG include AAH, Community Pharmacy England (CPE), Healthcare Distribution Association (HDA), Medicines UK, National Pharmacy Association (NPA) and Proprietary Association of Great Britain (PAGB).
The Group has also been attended by representatives from the following organisations, who have participated in discussions but do not act as decision-makers on MSRG policy positions or endorse the MSRG’s external publications or its recommendations:
- Department of Health and Social Care (DHSC)
- Medicines and Healthcare Regulatory Agency (MHRA)
- NHS England
- NHS Nottingham and Nottinghamshire
