Open letter by the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health

The CCA has joined 60 other organisations and 800 clinicians in signing the FSRH open letter by Dr Janet Barter, President of the Faculty of Sexual and Reproductive Health.

This letter addressed to the Secretary of State for Health and Social Care follows the 2023 launch of FSRH’s Hatfield Vision and last month’s release of the Hatfield Vision Manifesto. The letter sets out five key asks:

  1. Introduce a dedicated Sexual and Reproductive Health Strategy and to commit to continuing the Women’s Health Strategy.
  2. Improve access for all people to a full range of contraceptives in a location of their choosing.
  3. Ensure education and information about reproductive health is easily accessible and available.
  4. Tackle sexual and reproductive health disparities faced by people of colour.
  5. Ensure Community Sexual and Reproductive Health training posts are fully funded.
