We welcome the opportunity to contribute to the DHSC’s second consultation on hub and spoke dispensing. We are currently reviewing the proposals, including the Impact Assessment, to inform our response.
In principle we support enabling legislation, that leaves contractors with the choice of whether or not to adopt any new model of supply. We are clear however, that we do not want to see any changes which will negatively impact on any operating model currently used by our members.
At this juncture we feel it is import to note that neither the CCA or its members have ever called for, or encouraged, a change to the legislation governing dispensing between legal entities. This direction of travel by DHSC was initiated by parties from outside of the CCA.
