Ifti studied at De Montfort University and registered as a pharmacist in 1992. He has a career in community pharmacy spanning 30 years. He is currently the Pharmacy Superintendent at Well Pharmacy. Ifti has previously held several pharmacy professional, operational and field roles and has also worked as a locum pharmacist. Since 2008, Ifti has also represented the interests of contractors on LPCs. He is currently Vice-Chair on Greater Manchester LPC.
Ifti is appointed by Well as a Director of the CCA, and he is appointed by the CCA as a member of the Community Pharmacy England committee.
