AIM, the CCA and the NPA met last week with senior officials from the Department of Health and Social Care to discuss plans for ensuring the continuity of supply of medicines to patients as the UK leaves the EU.
Given the potential for disruption, we are very pleased to be working with the department to ensure that pharmacists are able to provide the best possible care for their patients and customers.
The meeting focused on strengthening the lines of communication between government and the pharmacy front line and opportunities to introduce flexibilities into working practices. We will be continuing to work with DHSC, and other stakeholders within the pharmacy and healthcare sector, including the PSNC, as we progress towards 29th March 2019 and beyond.
